October 2025 Forecast: Revolution Time!

As October unfolds, we're moving through a rare convergence in the astrology: a luminous new moon in Libra, Neptune's final retreat into Pisces, and the descent into Scorpio season. Together, these transits sketch the contours of a transitional moment—one that invites us to plant seeds, reckon with illusions, and prepare for deeper work ahead.

A new moon of rare beauty
On October 21st, we'll see a new moon at 28 degrees of Libra—and honestly, I have to say I love this new moon. It's one of the best lunations we've seen in quite some time.
Venus will have moved into Libra by this time, meaning the ruler of the lunation will be present with the Sun and Moon. What's more, Jupiter is making a fairly close square, bringing influence from the greater benefic. This is an excellent time to envision or begin manifestation work around Libran themes: balance, harmony, beauty, relationships, contracts.
At a mundane level, given the strong influence from both benefic planets in Venus's sign of negotiation, I do wonder if this moon could bring fresh efforts toward peace in some of the world's conflict zones.
Neptune's last dance in Pisces
On October 22nd, Neptune returns to Pisces for one final three-month stint before moving into Aries in late January. We're in a transitional phase between eras.
Neptune in Pisces has broadly signified the so-called woke era—boundary-crossing, trauma and therapy-speak, romantic idealism. With Neptune at the very end of the zodiac, look out for a sense that we're at the end of the story in various ways. There's a definite eschatological tone to our current times.
Bear in mind that the Neptune in Aries era is already underway, bringing cultural trends with a more masculine flavor: the exaltation of manliness, taking action, exploration, and the assertion of sovereignty and identity.
Scorpio season: descent into depth
On October 23rd, the Sun moves into Scorpio, the nocturnal water sign of Mars. Light steadily cedes ground to darkness. Scorpio wants to know what everyone else is up to, what their secrets are, and what makes them tick. It's the sign of depth of understanding, of psychology and hidden dynamics.
