Catherine Fitts, former Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President George H W Bush, recently claimed that the US government had secretly spent some US$21 trillion to construct a network of underground bases, supposedly intended to host “black projects” and provide continuity of government in case of disasters on the surface of the planet.

Other prominent commentators in alternative media such as author Joseph P Farrell and UFO historian Richard Dolan have spoken extensively of the existence of a “breakaway civilization”. The existence of the UFO phenomenon, and the alleged secret development of technology to replicate the capabilities of UFOs by some of the United States’s most powerful aerospace companies, suggests that the existence of such an entity is at least plausible.

In this talk, we’ll consider how astrology might offer confirmation that a secret breakaway civilization with access to advanced technology really does exist. In particular, we’ll consider the Hermetic undercurrents of the current times, indicated by conjunctions of Pluto and Neptune taking place in the sign of Gemini, the sign of Mercury-Hermes. We’ll see how in the previous Pluto-Neptune cycle, from 1398 to 1891, we saw a comparable situation to that of the present day.

We’ll consider what all this tells us about where the world is heading and ask a pointed question: is the breakaway civilization about to break back in?
