Leaving the Kali Yuga: The Great Year, Precession and Cyclical Catastrophe
January 26th, 2025 9:00am Eastern Time
In this talk, we’ll consider the biggest cycle astrologers are concerned with: the precession of the equinoxes and the 25,800-year “Great Year”. This cycle has been linked to the Hindu “Yuga” cycle, whereby the world proceeds through four “world ages” of declining dharma, from the Krita/Satya Yuga (Golden Age) to the Treta Yuga (Silver Age), to the Dwapara Yuga (Bronze Age) to the Kali Yuga (Iron Age), when dharma is at its lowest ebb.
We’re going to focus in this talk on various ideas about the Kali Yuga and consider whether we’re still in it. In particular, we’ll focus on the work of two authors, one of whom claims the Kali Yuga ended in 1900, the other claims the Kali Yuga will end in 2025, and initiate a 1,200-year period of “ekpyrosis” (cleansing by fire).
With 2025 just beginning, this is information you won’t want to miss!
This will be an approximately two-hour talk, and will be followed by a Q&A. You will be able to access a recording of this talk online for one month following the live event.
