I came to astrology because the standard explanation of the world stopped working for me.
I was born in Durham and spent two decades abroad as a writer, humanitarian worker and communications professional in Thailand, Myanmar and Papua New Guinea, places where magic and spirit are very much part of the psycho-spiritual landscape.
Twenty years of life in places like that will do something to your assumptions. It opened my mind to dimensions of life I had no framework for, and left me with a problem: I could no longer accept the standard story of how the world works.
It was an uncomfortable position to hold for years.
In 2018, I discovered astrology and later trained professionally as an astrologer — with world class teachers like Adam Elenbaas, Chris Brennan, Christopher Warnock, Patrick Watson and Mychal Bryan.
But very few people were teaching the part that interested me the most, mundane astrology. So I had to go searching for it myself, in books, journals, conference recordings, and through my own research.
In July 2022 I launched World Astrology Report. It now reaches an audience of well over a hundred thousand people every month.
