Why America is in "Deep Winter"
The Secondary Progressed Lunation Cycle divides a 30-year period into eight distinct phases, just like the monthly lunar cycle. The US entered its "Balsamic" phase recently, marking the end of the cycle that began back in 1994.
The Balsamic phase is the most difficult to navigate because it is a time of death and composting. Old structures (and identities) that no longer serve the future must decay. This process often feels like madness because the old way of doing things stops working, but the new way hasn't been revealed yet.
